Your data is your data. We collect the minimum needed to run this site and deliver what you ask for, and we never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Who we are

Ellie James is a writer and digital wellness brand operated by QANT Pty Ltd (ACN 088 738 943), registered in Australia. This policy covers the Ellie James websites at elliejames.me and members.elliejames.me. Nothing here constitutes medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. What we collect

On this website specifically, we collect very little:

• Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email, and message you submit so we can reply.
• Aggregate analytics. We use a first-party, privacy-respecting analytics signal to understand which pages are read. It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and is not used to identify you individually. If you arrive from a link we tagged (for example, one of our ads), it also records which campaign and which ad sent you, in aggregate.
• Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel). When we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, this site uses the Meta Pixel. It sets a Meta cookie in your browser and sends Meta Platforms information about your visit: the pages you view, the products you look at, when you start a checkout, your browser and device details, and your IP address. Meta may link this to a Facebook or Instagram account you hold. See Advertising and the Meta Pixel below.

Purchases, accounts, and product access happen on the separate member portal at members.elliejames.me, where payment is handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

How we use it

Contact-form details are used only to respond to you. Analytics are used only in aggregate to improve the site. Meta Pixel data is used to measure whether our ads work, to show our ads to people likely to be interested (including people who have visited this site), and to avoid showing them to people who have already bought. We do not use your information for any other purpose beyond operating this site, sending what you asked for, and replying to you.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Limited data is shared only with the infrastructure needed to operate - our publishing platform (QANT) to deliver your message and run the member portal, Stripe for any payment on it, and Meta Platforms for advertising measurement as described below - and otherwise only where required by Australian law.

Advertising and the Meta Pixel

The Meta Pixel is a piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc. and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Facebook and Instagram). Information it collects is sent to and stored by Meta, including outside Australia (principally in the United States), and Meta handles it under its own privacy policy. We receive only aggregated reports from Meta, not information that identifies you.

You can limit or stop this:

• Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this site does not load the Meta Pixel at all.
• Your Meta settings. Manage how Meta uses activity from other websites under Ad preferences and Your activity off Meta technologies.
• Your browser. Block or clear third-party cookies, or use a content blocker.

Security & storage

The technical side - where your data is stored, how it’s secured, and how long it’s kept - is handled by QANT, the platform that publishes this site. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Email ellie@elliejames.me and we’ll action it.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
