Setting an intention is naming how you want to meet the day, rather than what you want to get from it — quieter than a goal, steadier than a resolution. You hold it lightly and return to it through the day, sometimes with a little guided visualisation. Here is how to set one, and how to let it shape the day without forcing it.

How do I set an intention?
Setting an intention is naming how you want to meet the day, rather than what you want to achieve in it. It is quieter than a goal and easier to return to: one honest line, held lightly.
What is the difference between an intention and a goal?
A goal points at an outcome; an intention points at a way of being. You can fall short of a goal — but an intention is something you can simply return to, again and again, throughout the day.
